The Dewarists' final episode of Season 1 featured 'The King of Naga Folk Blues' - Guru Rewben Mashangva, a performer, songwriter, and music researcher from Manipur, India and The Raghu Dixit Project, a contemporary Indian folk band based in Bangalore headed by Raghupathi Dwarakanath Dixit, a singer-composer, producer and film score composer. The season finale took place in Shillong, Meghalaya - also known as the Scotland of the East.

The Dewarists is a musical television series on MTV India. Part music documentary and part travelogue, the show features inspiring musicians collaborating to create original music while traveling to locations across India.

"Rewben and us met during the Roots Tour that we went on in 2008! It was then that we realized that there was some magic when we got on stage together and just jammed. So a chance to actually sit and work together and make music could not be passed up! There is very little I have to say about our experience in Shillong where we were to spend a week working on a brand new song, but managed to compose and record it overnight and whats better, perform the new song at the Autumnfest in Shillong after just one day of composing it!" - The Raghu Dixit Project
