Sunday Jam Session (SJS) is a bi-monthly showcase that helps display some of Northeast and India’s most underrated talent. Event founders Amit Baruah, Jubee D Baruah, Debjani Hazarika, producer Kirti Prabar Das & Jim Ankan Deka set out to create a creative space for artists in any genre, as well as teaching artists how to create a grassroots fanbase. Amit, Jubee, Kirti, Jenie and Jim show great selflessness and a passion for the culture by providing this opportunity to the local artists of India and, especially, Guwahati.
SJS is the first of its kind platform in Guwahati which is providing a safe creative space for artists to express themselves and have those that support them come out and enjoy a great time. Networking is a big factor when it comes to promoting any form of art, and the founders of this event want artists to build a healthy relationship with each other while engaging in the most innovative way of creating music on the go.
