This BMX rider undertook a journey from Shillong to Nepal with a message - "Save Trees, Save Earth". Watch his story.

Winward Sangma, a young BMX rider from Shillong undertook a journey on his BMX from Shillong, India to Tilicho Lake, Nepal. With the message of "Save Trees, Save Earth", he successfully completed two world record attempts on his way to the highest lake in the world at 4956 mt.



The first leg of the tour from Shillong to New Jalpaiguri, which is 565 kms, took Winward and his team 24 hrs to complete. After two days of rest, the 2nd leg of the journey began from Kathmandu to Tilicho Lake. On June 28, 2019, Winward reached Tilicho Lake on his BMX completing his 2nd World Record.
