MeetChief - the first 'Guwahati Startup Growth Networking Meetup' was organized by OK North East in association with eChai & Pocket Friendly Productions. It was held on Jan 18, 2019 at Debojani Ashralaya Travellers Hostel in Narengi.
With MeetChief, OK North East is planning to start a specially designed meetup community for entrepreneurs and startup founders in North East India with a focus to create a platform where everyone can help each other grow in their respective fields, discuss about the latest updates in the field of entrepreneurship, as well as dedicate some time for community services. The first meetup was attended by few like-minded and interesting people with skills in varied domains.

Vargabi Boro (founder: CraftMaven) - She has taken patience to a whole new level. Amongst all the other skills that she has to offer, she chose to go ahead with her Nail String Art and turn it into her own Business. She calls it CraftMaven. She sells her art, participates in Exhibitions and even gives training to others so that others can make a living from their skills.
Philipa Mehtaz (founder: Miran's) - Philipa takes food seriously. An avid foodie - she thought why not share this love with others as well. With that in mind, she opened her very own cloud kitchen 'Miran’s' in Bhangagarh and planning to expand to different parts of Guwahati.
Gargi Buragohain (actress) - Gargi is a model cum actress. She was a part of a music video called Assam Skies - a Tri-Continent Project to revive a long lost story from Assam. She is a student of Law and doing her masters from Gauhati University.
Santanu Deka - Santanu is currently working in an organisation called Assam Petroleum. He is planning to start his own organisation within a year.
Gaurav Choudhury (engineer/musician) - Gaurav is pursuing his Masters in Structural Engineering from Dehradun. He is planning to start his own venture that will deal in Building Construction, Structural Analysis and Interior Designing. He is a guitarist and vocalist and have been performing in events and concerts since his school days.
Anshumali Kumar and Anjali Jha (founder: Infinity Cakes): The duo started Infinity Cakes which is an on-demand Customized cake Delivering platform. The company delivers customized cakes and gifts across pan India. They are a bunch of food lovers fascinated with sweet indulgence, who dream of creating an appetising fairy land of divine delicacies that relishes the utmost desires. They both love to travel and always wanted the kind of work that does not restrict them to one place. They believe that travelling and working can go together!
Pragyan Bezbaruah (founder: Pocket Friendly Productions) - Started off as a Travel Blog, Pocket Friendly Travels, it soon grew and expanded into Pocket Friendly Productions (PFP) where Pragyan and his team focus on Films, Advertisements, Social Media Management, Photoshoots and Creative Idea Generation.
Jim Ankan Deka and Debjani Hazarika (founder: OK! North East) - OK North East is a travel and information company based in Guwahati, Assam, India. The company provides homestays, travellers hostels, campsites and other similar budget friendly accommodations to backpackers and visitors visiting North East of India.
