Everything remains the same, except we will not be hearing him sing live again. Michael M Sailo left this world behind on April 7, 2017.
Michael M Sailo had a gift for composition and songwriting. He was famous as a rapper but many didn't know that he was one of the band members of “electro-rock progressive" band The Scavenger Project from Mizoram.
Born in Aizawl, Mizoram, on November 16, Michael did his schooling from Helen Lowry School in Aizawl and Adventist Training School in Jowai, Meghalaya. After passing his 10th in 1993, Michael went for higher studies at Spicer Memorial College in Pune, Maharashtra. He had shown interest in music since his childhood and his dream helped him to establish his own studio and production house 'Spaceville Pro Sessions' in Aizawl in 2011. The production house produced music of some of the top artistes of Mizoram.
Before starting his own studio, Michael worked as a Sound Engineer at Zozam Audio-Visual Inc for 3 years starting in 2003. In 2008, he joined as the Radio Jockey of Zozam FM, a radio channel in Mizoram.

Michael can be considered as the pioneer of Hip Hop in Aizawl or even the Northeast of India as a whole. One of the most versatile artists of all genres, he could rap, sing, dj, produce and record. He produced two studio albums till 2017.
Michael won many awards and accolades in his lifetime including the Lelte Award as Best Rapper and Rimawi Khawvel Award as Best New Artist. His production and collaboration had shot many aspiring new artists to the top charts.
Michael performed in most of the metro cities and various clubs and pubs in India as a solo performer as well as with his band. He had a huge fan base in the North East.
Michael left for heavenly abode on April 7, 2017 and left behind his wife and two sons. He left the world a much better place through his goodness, humility, kindness and most importantly, his music. He will be sorely missed!
