Located roughly 30 kilometres away from Shillong and nestled among forested pines and overseeing the beautiful Umiam Lake, one can immerse in the serenity and peaceful locale of the Sawanbiang Guesthouse. The rustic nature of the hills, the sound of the birds and the smell of fresh air will transport you away from the hustle and bustle of the city and seeks to provide you a soothing and stress-free experience. Spread across three floors the house is equipped with homely decor and is maintained by OK! North East.

The space

With a king size bed and a big bathroom with all the amenities, waking up at Sawanbiang Guest House is an experience itself. The house has lot of open spaces and the view of the lake from 2 balconies are stunning. The place is good for couples, businessman, backpackers, single travellers and tourists.

There are few restaurants and bars nearby like Cafe Umbir, Ri Kynjai and Orchid Resort.

We have the space for partying for up to 30 people. And we have sleeping arrangements for up to 14 people. Please message us to know more.

Drinking alcohol is allowed, but please do it moderately without disturbing the guests in other rooms and the neighborhood.
The refrigerator is available for use by the guests.
Cooking lunch or dinner is not available at present. But you can order food from the kitchen. There are few restaurants nearby like Cafe Umbir or Na La Ri resort.
Couples are allowed but have to be above 25 yrs and both have to provide govt. issued ID cards.
Please turn off the geyser switch after use.
